BIOGRAPHY

Having recently graduated from the Boston Architectural College (May 2010) with a Master of Architecture degree, Loren is embarking on a new phase of creativity and exploration. His current activities include drawing, painting, travel, participation in architectural competitions, and looking for a position in a firm where his values, talents, and interests will coincide with those of the firm. He believes in true sustainability and responsible design, team cooperation and forward thinking. To him, every project should be appropriate to the vernacular and scale of its surroundings and should strive to be as responsible to the environment, community and users as possible.

While his design toolbox includes extensive experience with Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and AutoCAD, Loren avidly employs the use of pencil, watercolor, acrylic, physical modeling and other traditional (and non-traditional) methods of exploration and expression.

Loren's professional experience (3+ years of project work) has been heavily focused in the healthcare design area including everything from system-wide master planning to single room fit-outs and renovations.

Both academically and through independent study, Loren's explorations and work have often been very international and dynamic in location and style. Along with a master planning and theater design studio project in Dresden, Germany, he has also worked extensively in Havana, Cuba on several research and design projects including his masters thesis, and participated in multiple CEU sponsored master planning charrettes for Havana Harbor.
