INDEPENDENT WORK

Loren's independent work is ongoing in both design and fine art areas. He is continually working to improve his skill set and understanding of a variety of topics from green design to new art techniques, website and software mastery, and foreign language skills.

Learning from his academic 'laboratory' exercises, Loren often reworked (and continues to rework) projects after the class assignments were complete. Working free of the constraints of academic subjectivity, his independent redesigns respond to the ideas that had developed in class but can now blossum aesthetically to a higher level of refinement and freedom. In the case of his thesis, Loren is actively redesigning a more conservative design (particularly in scale) to present to individuals in Cuba, including the real project client.
